A Message from the Foodservice Director:
Menu Changes & Supply Chain Disruptions
I hear you and I share your frustrations regarding menu changes. Unfortunately, the changes are not due to my own decision, but rather an inability to obtain the product that is originally on the menu. We are experiencing extreme supply chain disruptions, and it is becoming increasingly difficult to get the items needed to follow the menu. I notify principals of any menu changes as soon as I am aware of them; please check weekly communications from your building for the most up to date information regarding the menu.
I wish I could say it's going to get better soon, but from everything I have been hearing and everything I have been experiencing, it may even get worse before it gets better. A few manufacturers just announced that they are suspending production of entire product lines until January 2022. I appreciate your understanding as I work through these challenges. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at burrowsc@reeths-puffer.org.
Thank you!

When the students and teacher are so engaged in rotating from product to product giving peer feedback that they don't even notice a visitor in the room, you know it's a great day. Feedback from others is an important part of the writing process. Everyone gets better. #ubuntu

The Advance Child Tax Credit is not just available to taxpayers with children that file tax returns, but also to people with children who have low or no income.
To qualify for Advance Child Tax Credit payments, individuals must:

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to Preferred Auto Dealerships for supporting our students. We have great students and know that we will build the culture we want by recognizing students for doing the right thing. Preferred Auto Dealerships will be partnering with us to give away a car at the end of the year to a deserving student. Yes….a car! Students will learn more information soon about Ride With Pride and how it is connected to the Rocket Way in and out of school. Thanks Preferred Auto Dealerships for your investment in our students.

Some of our students did a “book tasting” today to find a book that interests them for a book group. It’s our mission to connect students to books that engage them in order to empower all students to live literate lives.

Today, we got to appreciate the opportunity for students to sit down together at a table and eat lunch. Our high school students haven’t done this since March 13, 2020. Sometimes, great things can be some of the simplest things.
On a sidenote, a lunch menu for this month is in the photos. Also, there is always a nacho bar, pizza, cheeseburgers, chicken sandwiches, wraps, and prepared salads in addition to whatever the rotating entrées are. Students get salad, fruits, vegetables, and milk with all options.
Lunch is free for all students this year. There are some items available à la carte that do have an additional cost.
Thank you food-service for providing so many great options for our students. We know that access to nutritious meals help our students learn better.
There are so many things we are excited for this year and our after school program is one of them. This will start during the third week of school.
It was a great week of professional learning and we are so excited for the start of the year with RP students! #IAmBecauseWeAre #ubuntu
We are going to have a great year. Here are some reminders for RPHS students.
