● First Priority Club will meet today during both lunches in Mrs.
Sweany's room, # 203. A new EPIC cycle begins. All students are
welcome.
● Jostens will be here to deliver your class jewelry during lunch on Friday, January 7
th
. If
you owe a balance, please make sure that it is paid in full prior to delivery day. If you
plan to make final payment on delivery day at school, only cash (correct change please)
and money order can be accepted. Checks cannot be accepted for final payment at
school. Thank you.
● Homework Workshop is still running every Monday and Wednesday from
3pm-4pm in the LC. Our wonderful student tutors are dedicated and
flexible to meeting your learning needs in a chill and laid back environment.
If you are struggling, we strongly urge you to consider Homework
Workshop to help you get back on track. A little bonus for your initiative, we
are raffling some fun prizes off to students who attend each week!
● The Reeths-Puffer Dance Team is looking for new members! If you're looking for a safe
and respectful environment where you can grow your passion for dance, please put your
name on our sign up sheet in the Student Services office. The 1st meeting will be this
Friday, January 7th from 3-3:3:30 in the Aux Gym. We hope to see you there!
● Science Olympiad Meeting Rescheduled: There will be an informational
meeting for the 2022 Science Olympiad Team Wednesday, January 5th,
right after school in Room 114. The meeting will last about 30 minutes. If
you are interested in learning more about science, competing against
students from across West Michigan, and meeting new friends that share
your interest in science, then this is the team for you. Meet your coach Mrs.
Kramer and find out about this year's events.
● TEST OUT SIGN UP SHEETS ARE NOW AVAILABLE IN THE COUNSELING OFFICE. YOU
MUST MEET ALL THE REQUIREMENTS, HAVE COUNSELOR PERMISSION, AND RETURN
THE PERMISSION SHEET WITH PAYMENT BY THIS FRIDAY, JANUARY 7TH TO BE

● Track conditioning for boys and girls: Monday/Wednesday/Fridays . Meet
upstairs on the indoor track. 3:00
● Attention all boys interested in playing volleyball this spring: There will be a
volleyball clinic hosted by RP coaches on Sunday afternoons in January. If you
are interested in learning basic skills and improving those skills before tryouts
this spring, see Coach Birr in room 207 for more information.

AmeriCorps stipend positions! Make a difference in our community and join Michigan Education Corps as an AmeriCorps Reading Interventionist. Reeths-PufferElementary is looking for a reading interventionist to give their time and talent to help our kids become successful readers and learners. Interventionists serve students one-on-one during school hours throughout the school year. No matter if you’re a recent grad, career changer, stay-at-home parent or retiree, you can make a great interventionist. No experience? No problem. Michigan Education Corps provides comprehensive training in scripted interventions proven to help students learn, so interventionists are well equipped to help students grow. Part-time and full-time positions are available.

Our high school students got to demonstrate their learning with a live audience of students at RPI. They did a great job of bringing their learning to life in a children’s books that they read in small groups. Thank you RPI for being great partners.
Good luck to our marching band at The state finals on Saturday. The community performance tonight was amazing. Your hard work and dedication has already made us so proud!

Are you frustrated with your grades? Would you like to learn in groups? Do you need additional supports to be successful in school? Please join our Homework Workshop every Monday and Wednesday from 3-4 pm. If you can't get picked up until after 4 pm, please consider attending the afterschool program until 5:30 pm.
Our gaming class got to go to the WMU campus (virtually) and talk about the growing area of esports.
It was a great night! The setting outside was perfect. The weather was perfect. The energy and excitement of the students was more than perfect!
