Communication skills are important to almost every career and and play a huge role in our relationships. Companies name communication as a skill that is very important, yet hard to hire. This is why our students practice communications skills in a variety of ways during an elective class we offer called Navigating Life.
In seventh grade science, students rotate around to stations during an activity to learn even more about electricity. The great thing about science is that it gives you a new lens to see everyday things in the world.
The Reeths-Puffer Fine Arts Department collaborated to create some videos to help kick-off Homecoming Weekend. A lot has changed...but so much hasn't. Enjoy from the stadium or from home....The Star-Spangled Banner! #GoRockets #Ohsaycanyousing

Here is even more to celebrate! Things are different and we are all working through new challenges. There really is no better way to teach problem-solving and resiliency than to model it like our fine arts department did. Enjoy this awesome collaborative work between the middle school choir and high school band! RP fight song.

There are so many things to celebrate! Congratulations to our racket slip winners for the week. Great job demonstrating respect, pride, and integrity.... The Rocket Way!
A great week of spirit finished strong today with a lot of green and white. Other than the green and white (our favorite color), the best part was seeing the creativity of the students to turn many household items and paint into spirit wear. Today was a competition between the seventh and eighth grade and with a score of 154-149, the seventh grade comes out with a win! We will have ongoing opportunities for competition between grades throughout the year. Gooooo Rockets!
Throwback Thursday filled The hallways and classrooms with tie-dye, scrunchies, tight rolled jeans, varsity coats from the 90s, the “grunge” look, poodle skirts, and tons of spirit! We can’t wait to see all of the green and white tomorrow. Tomorrow is the first of a year long competition between the seventh and eighth grade.
The trees are beautiful, but the sound of conversations about math is amazing. The goal of math instruction is to build critical thinkers, communicators, and mathematicians that understand concepts rather than memorizing. Students participate in an activity called InfoGap which allows them to practice those skills.

In Robotics and CS Discoveries (formerly known as Coding), students are given many opportunities to practice the messy cycle of problem-solving by preparing, trying, reflecting, defining, and bouncing around each phase until solutions are found. Problem solving in action is such an exciting thing to watch.
According to a seventh grade student today, “ I think I know everything I can possibly know about energy now. I never even thought about how complicated it is.” In part 2 of the science lab, the mass changes and students explore potential energy versus kinetic energy.
We missed the sunshine today, but got a lot of outdoor learning time last week under the sun.
