With the weather getting colder, it’s time to start sending your kids with heavier coats, gloves and hats. We will be going outside at lunch to get some exercise and fresh air. It’s supposed to be 46 tomorrow during lunch/recess!

Today, Mrs. Meekhof started “Novels with Noah”. This is a community project for her classes where students read to shelter dogs at Noah Project. Studies have found that there are many benefits for children when reading to dogs. It reduces anxiety and improves motivation. #RPIShines #meltsmyheart #proudtobearocket 🐶💚🚀

In Mrs. Marvin's class today Mr. swift from Mills manufacturing and Brandon a former paratrooper spoke to the students about parachute designs, gravity, and military uses of parachutes. They are from North Carolina so we were lucky enough to be able to Skype with them today in our classroom.

Mrs. Marvin's students are testing and building parachute features to understand gravitational force and air resistance. Later they will design a parachute to successfully drop an egg🥚So much fun!!!
