Band-O-Rama
On March 16th, the Reeths-Puffer Band will host its annual Band-O-Rama event in the Dan Beckeman Arena. This is a highly anticipated occasion that brings together band students from the intermediate level up to high school. While the primary focus of the event is showcasing the talents of the band, there are many exciting activities for families to enjoy. These include games, concessions, a variety of auction items, and a silent auction. Doors open at 1:30 PM for these attractions, ensuring that there is something for everyone to enjoy while making it a fun-filled day for the entire family. Tickets are $5 per person and $20 for a family pass, and all funds raised during this event are used to support the band program, ensuring that students have access to the best resources, equipment, and opportunities to continue their musical education. One of the most meaningful aspects of Band-O-Rama is the opportunity it gives younger students to find inspiration and role models. The event provides an excellent opportunity for them to see what the future of Band can look like if they continue their musical journey. Band student Ella Jourden explained, “It helps give younger band students a good idea of what Band can be like in the future if they continue with it.” She added, “Whether it's the music or the high school band’s fun energy, it can motivate them to keep going and strive for excellence.” This aspect of the event serves to inspire the next generation of musicians and reinforces the importance of commitment and passion for the arts. 
For many band students, Band-O-Rama is the highlight of the year. It’s an event they look forward to eagerly, as it allows them to perform alongside their peers in an exciting, high-energy environment. Student Daniel Dunn shared, “I’m excited to play with a full band, where we get to perform two amazing songs: Veterans Salute and The Greatest Show.” The opportunity to come together and showcase their hard work is something students cherish, and it creates a sense of community among all the participants. Overall, Band-O-Rama is a wonderful event that unites the entire Reeths-Puffer band program and the surrounding community. It provides a platform to showcase the incredible talent of these students, and it allows families to come together in support of the band. As the largest fundraising event hosted by the band, the organizers hope to see a great turnout, as all the money raised goes directly back into the program to help provide valuable resources for the students.
