The 8th grade Lady Rockets traveled to West Ottawa last night. The team started very slowly and trailed 13 to 2 late in the first quarter. Bri Do hit a nice 3 pointer to cut the lead to 8. The team played great defense in the 2nd quarter and held West Ottawa to 4 points to put the Rockets within striking distance. Unfortunately, too many turnovers left the Rockets with limited chances to score in the 2nd half. The final score was West Ottawa 32 and Reeths-Puffer 26. The team is home for two games next week including Monday against rival Mona Shores. Come out and support the girls. Leading scorers were: Jaz Kops (2 points), Ella Voorhies (2 points), Olivia Ambler (2 points), Wren Tryska (2 points), Grace Tindall (3 points), Bri Do (3 points), Gracie Callender (4 points) and Ash David (team high 8 points).
