The Rockets battled rival Muskegon last night in basketball action but came up short. A large 2nd quarter run by the Big Reds that the Rockets had no response to ended up being the difference in the game. A very balanced scoring attack was led by Paul Smith’s six points with Artis Williams, Rodney Walker, Jaxon Lee, Garrison Niklasch and Hank Mitchelson all chipping in four apiece. While the young Rockets are still trying to figure things out, a couple of highlights would definitely include some 2nd half execution of the offense, improved boxing out and some stellar defense by Artis Williams. The team looks to rebound with their long bus trip to West Ottawa this afternoon.
