- Jax fell in the woods but managed to get up quickly to secure 8th place.
- Eli made great moves and passed people in the woods on a very narrow trail.
- Gabe was able to pass runners due to his strong drive up the hills of the course.
- Drew had an extremely hard finish that allowed him to set a new personal record for the season.
Lady Rockets also placed 4th out of 7 teams: Leading the Lady Rockets were Harper Roberts and Mia Hanichen. Running personal records were Savannah Church, Goddess Foley, Mary Grotenhuis, Emma Mathes, Harper Roberts, Ariella Smith, and Kaiden Yates.
Girls' highlights for the evening:
Goddess Foley may be a sprinter in the sport of Track and Field, however, the coaches are pleased with her ability to pass others on the trails. Mia Hanichen is in her first season of Cross Country for RPMS. She is doing great at responding to the coaches during the race as they encourage her to drive up the hills of each course in order to outrun the competition. Harper Roberts has shown much consistency for the 6th-grade crew. She continues to go out in control and lead our ladies as she finishes strong in each race. Kaiden Yates is proving to be a force and has now taken 2 minutes and 20 seconds off her 2-mile time. Per her teachers, Yates demonstrates what it takes to be a student-athlete for RPMS.
