The Reeths-Puffer boys soccer team fought hard on Thursday but dropped a 3-2 decision to Zeeland West in O-K Green conference play.
Zeeland West pulled ahead early with two goals in the first 20 minutes of the game.
The Rockets chipped away and tied the score, with Liam Smith scoring his 15th goal of the season late in the first half and Kyler Brainard tying the game early in the second.

Zeeland West netted the game winner with about 19 minutes remaining in the contest.
A pair of underclassmen stood out for the Rockets.
Sophomore goalkeeper Gavin Wright made four big saves to keep the score close and freshman Owen Ritsema had his fifth assist in only four full varsity games.
The Rockets outshot Zeeland West 8-7 in the game.
R-P is now 4-4-2 overall and 2-2-1 in O-K Green competition. The Rockets will visit Fruitport on Saturday.
