The players on the Reeths-Puffer girls golf team are all working individually to pick up their games, and Ella Klimsza showed real progress on Wednesday.
Klimsza shot a 49, her best round of the year, and finished in 11th place in the first O-K Green conference jamboree of the year, hosted by Reeths-Puffer at Lincoln Golf Club.
“Ella Klimsza had a good day,” said R-P golf coach Matt Pallett. “I am pleased with her progress with mental toughness. She is focusing on not allowing a few bad shots in a round bring her down, and the results showed today.”

As a team the Rockets finished fourth out of four teams in the tournament, but only three points out of third.
Mona Shores won the event with a 173, followed by Zeeland West with 175, Zeeland East with 210 and R-P with 213.
The top golfer for the Rockets was Paige Anderson, who finished fourth individually with a round of 40.
Abby Haak and Avery Luna both had rounds of 62.
“As a team we now know where we stand in the conference,” Pallett said. “The team will be setting high, reasonable goals for the rest of the season, and we will work hard to achieve the goals we set.”
