Friday turned out to be a pretty good day for Reeths-Puffer golfers Paige Anderson and Avery Luna.
Their team competed in the Sydney Carfine Memorial Girls Golf Tournament at The Meadows at Grand Valley State University in Allendale. The field included 18 teams, 90 golfers and some very tough competition.
Anderson, who opened the season by taking first place at the Mona Shores Invitational earlier this week, shot an 82, finished in 11th place and won a medal.
Luna was not a medalist, but her 116 round beat her previous best score by 14 strokes.
Ella Klimsza had the Rockets’ second-best score with a 113. Abby Haak shot a 135.
Reeths-Puffer finished 17th in the team competition.
