A pair of strong pitching performances led the Reeths-Puffer softball to a doubleheader sweep of Caledonia in O-K Green Conference action on Tuesday .
The Rockets earned a 4-1 win in the opener and a 3-1 win in Game 2.
Lainey McDaniel starred in the circle in Game 1, tallying 14 strikeouts. Mady Snyder pitched the win in Game 2, striking out three and leaning on a strong R-P defense.
“Both Lainey and Mady were lights out on the mound tonight,” said Rocket Coach Sarah Bayle. “Lainey got it through strikeouts and Mady got it through groundouts and fly outs. They both did their jobs.

“We had great plays on defense tonight, including a diving catch on a line drive up the middle to end the game by Madi Reichert!”
In Game 1, Abbie Critchett smacked two triples to lead the R-P attack. Reichert added two singles and McDaniel drove in two runs.
Olivia Ambler and Brook Buchan led the offense in Game 2, each hitting a double and driving in one run.
Reeths-Puffer is now 6-1 on the season.
“We have a bit of work to do to increase our production at the plate, but we are chipping away at it,” Bayle said.
