The Reeths-Puffer lacrosse team snagged its first victory of the season on Thursday, and did it a big way.
The Rockets, who came in 0-3 with a pair of close losses in their last two games, exploded for a 14-0 victory over East Kentwood on the road.
Junior Cohen Beck had a huge night for R-P, scoring six goals, all in the first half.
The Rockets took control right away in the first quarter, putting up seven goals. Rohan Moyer scored his first goal of the season, then was followed on the scoring chart by Owen Greiner, Beck, another from Greiner, then three more from Beck.

Beck scored twice in the second quarter and Greiner notched his third goal, giving R-P a commanding 10-0 lead at halftime.
The Rockets added two goals in the third quarter, from Blake Kiel (his first lacrosse goal ever) and Gabe Feirick (his first varsity goal) and led 12-0.
Hunter Adams scored twice in the fourth quarter for Reeths-Puffer.
"Overall, I'm happy with how we played and secured our first win of the season," said R-P Coach Josh Robidoux. "We were able to get some guys their first goals of the season and run our offense effectively. Our defense did not let them capitalize whatsoever and we generated a lot of turnovers."
The Rockets will visit West Ottawa on Saturday.
