The Reeths-Puffer girls tennis team opened the season with a very long day of competition at Hope College on Saturday.
The Rockets came away with one victory in three dual matches, a 6-2 win over Grant.
R-P split two of four singles matches against the Tigers, then swept all four doubles matches.

R-P's No. 1 and No. 2 singles players, Olivia Smith and Hope Latsch, both took their opponents to tie-breakers before losing.
All four of the Rockets' doubles teams won in straight sets - Gabrielle Borgeson and Elana Weiden (No. 1), Jayla Brink and Makalya Smith (No. 2), Ava Dietz and Kaitlyn Durow (No. 3) and Emma Dvorak and Maddie Hutchinson (No. 4).
The Rockets did not fare so well in their other two dual matches, falling 8-0 to both Zeeland East and Hamilton, two very strong teams, but R-P Coach Ryan Hankinson said it was worthwhile day for his team.
"It was a very good day for the players, the team and the coaches," he said. "We all learned a ton over those 12 hours and three matches."
The Rockets will host Ludington in a non-conference match on Tuesday.
