The Reeths-Puffer boys bowling team has had an up-and-down season, but the Rockets have a lot of talent, and could be a darkhorse contender against Muskegon County's other teams at Wednesday's Greater Muskegon Athletic Association Tournament at Sherman Bowling Lanes.
The Rockets had a final warmup for the GMAA event on Monday, beating Muskegon 29-1 in the final O-K Green conference dual match of the season.
Reeths-Puffer improved to 7-5 overall on the season and 7-3 in conference play.
R-P's Liam Copenhaver, who rolled a team-high 234 game.
The Rockets swept both baker games and regular games against the Big Reds.
Winning their head-to-head matchups in Game 1 were Liam Copenhaver, Quinn Alderink, Tanner Bahr, Karsen Boeskool and Carter Hekkema. Copenhaver had a team-high score of 234.
Winning in Game 2 were Ryleigh Beebe, Copenhaver, Alderink and Chase Quillen. Beebe rolled a team-high 207.
"Liam bowled very well again today," said R-P Coach Craig Alderink. "Quinn and Ryleigh also put up some nice scores. I am really looking forward to seeing what this team will do at the GMAA on Wednesday."
