The Reeths-Puffer girls bowling team survived one bad game on Wednesday and emerged with a 21-9 victory over Jenison in O-K Green conference action.
The win kept the Rockets on pace with Caledonia in the conference championship race.
The Rockets started out strong, winning both baker games, 189-127 and 167-146, to take a promising 10-0 lead.
The first regular game did not go so well, however. R-P lost 702-682, and lost four of the five individual matchups to Jenison, allowing the Wildcats to tack eight points on the scoreboard.
Ella Mattson had R-P's only head-to-head win in Game 1 with a 153 score.
Hailey Johnsen, who rolled a team-high 214 game.
The Rockets regrouped in Game 2, winning 847-781 and earning four points. Four players also earned a point apiece by winning their matchups - Kaila Uhlig, Mattson, Hailey Johnsen and Brook Buchan.

The Rockets also won the two bonus points for combined pin count in the two regular games.
Reeths-Puffer improved to 10-2 overall on the season and 9-1 in conference play. The Rockets are in second place behind Caledonia in a tight O-K Green championship race with the season winding down.
