The Reeths-Puffer girls bowling team is not only winning its conference matches, but winning by big margins.

On Wednesday the Rockets beat Jenison 27-3 to improve to 4-0 in the O-K Green conference standings and 5-1 overall.

The easy win follows two similar results against O-K Green opponents - a 23-7 win over Mona Shores and a 27.5-2.5 victory over Byron Center.

The Rockets rolled from the beginning, winning both baker rounds by scores of 128-115 and 115-82, and earning the bonus points to take a 10-0 lead.

R-P added eight points in the first regular game, winning 760-612. Ella Mattson, Rowan Bluhm, Hailey Johnsen and Brook Buchen each won their individual games.

Buchan rolled a great score of 236 in the first game.

Reeths-Puffer added seven more points in the second regular game, winning 661-613. Johnsen, Mattson and Destani Villallpando each won their games, with Johnsen turning in a high score of 150.

R-P also earned the bonus points for most pins in the combined regular games.

"The younger ladies on the team are catching on and their hard work is showing," said R-P Coach Karla Buchan. "They are an integral part of the team, and we are excited to see their continued growth through the season."
