It’s been a rough road for the Reeths-Puffer volleyball team lately, so Thursday’ night’s easy 3-0 win over Muskegon was a big relief and a lot of fun for the Rockets.

They drubbed the Big Reds by set scores of 25-6, 25-12, 25-9.

The victory snapped an eight-match losing streak for Reeths-Puffer, which improved to 9-15 overall and 1-4 in O-K Green conference play.

“It was great to get back into the win column, and great to see all 12 of our uninjured girls get some playing time,” said R-P Coach Justin Birr. “Our team was very supportive of each other throughout the night, and we got to have a little fun.

"It wasn't the most exciting volleyball, but our girls made it fun.”

Alissa Klopp led R-P with six kills, Maddy Dyer had 17 assists and Mairyn Peterson served seven aces.

Defensively, Johnsen led the way with four digs.
The Rockets will return to action on Tuesday with a conference match at Caledonia.
