Reeths-Puffer golfers Rowan Bluhm and Sophia McCollum are going to need storage space for all of the medals they are winning this season.

On Thursday they both won “All Tournament” medals at the O-K Green Midseason Tournament. On Friday they turned around and did it again at the Greenville Invitational, finishing in the top 10 and winning two more medals.

McCollum shot an 83 with nine pars and finished fifth in the final individual standings. Bluhm shot an 89 and finished in 10th place.

Their play helped the Rockets place fifth out of 15 teams, and nine shots better than rival Mona Shores, which finished sixth.

“Both Rowan and Sophia have put some good rounds together this year,” said R-P Coach Matt Pallett. “Once you do that, though, it is tough if the next round is not as good. Rowan just came off a personal best the day before. I am very proud of Rowan because she did not have her best stuff but battled all day to earn a top 10.”

Olivia Ambler shot a 107 for R-P, Ella Voorhies shot a 111 and Emma Dvorak finished with a career-best score of 116.

“I am proud of my team for their mental toughness,” Pallett said. “We finished strong, which allowed the team to move up the standings at the end of the day.”
