Reeths-Puffer senior Rowan Bluhm is off to a hot start on the golf course this season.
After finishing in 10th place in the first tournament of the season last week, Bluhm shot a 41 and finished in third place individually on Monday at the first O-K Green Conference Jamboree of 2024, played at Railside Golf Club.
R-P sophomore Olivia Ambler had a breakthrough day, shooting a 45 and finishing in seventh place individually, which was her first top 10 finish at the varsity level.

Bluhm and Ambler helped the Rockets finish third out of five teams with a cumulative score of 192. Byron Center took first place with a 171 while Caledonia was second. It was the first conference tournament in the revamped O-K Green, which includes several schools that were not in the league last year.
“The new O-K Green is tough,” said R-P coach Matt Pallett. “I feel that we have a lot of upside with this team. I like our attitudes. We will continue to work.”
Sophia McCollum shot a 49 for Reeths-Puffer, followed by Emma Dvorak with a 57, Ella Voorhies with a 60 and Andrea Marshall with a 69.

“Rowan Bluhm is off to a great start for her senior year,” Pallett said. “She has been top 10 in both events. I am happy for her as she has put the time in this past year to really improve.
“I am so happy for Olivia Ambler. She started on our JV last year and worked her way into some varsity events before an injury ended her season. She has improved a lot in the past year.”
The Rockets now move on to play in a two-day tournament on Crystal Mountain on Tuesday and Wednesday.
