Trent Reichert ended the Reeths-Puffer baseball team’s regular season on an exciting note.
The Rockets and North Muskegon were tied 1-1 in extra innings on Thursday when Reichert launched a two-run homer over the left field fence to give R-P a thrilling 3-1 victory in the final game of the regular season.
It was Reichert’s fifth round-tripper of the campaign. He had a great day overall, collecting four hits and knocking in the two runs.

R-P benefitted from great pitching the entire game. Drew Brooks started and scattered three hits while striking out eight batters over seven innings. Jack Yonkman only gave up one hit over the final two innings.
Brooks, Jaxson Whitaker and Landyn Wilson each had a hit for the Rockets.
Reeths-Puffer finished the regular season with an outstanding 21-6 record.
The Rockets will now move on to a big pre-district game on Tuesday against Kenowa Hills, with the winner advancing to the regular Division 1 district tournament at Grand Haven on June 1.
