The Reeths-Puffer baseball team bounced back from a few recent losses by sweeping Zeeland West in a conference doubleheader on Wednesday.

The Rockets won the opener 3-1. Jaxson Whitaker had a great game on the mound, tossing 4 1/3 innings while allowing two hits and striking out eight. Trent Reichert closed out the victory by holding ZW scoreless over the final 2 2/3 innings.

Ethan Frang had three hits for R-P while Whitaker added two.

The Rockets completed the sweep with a 7-3 victory in the nightcap. Reichert, Holden Earnest and Brayden Mitchelson each pitched several innings and kept the Dux in check.

Jack Yonkman, Whitaker and Earnest each had two hits for Reeths-Puffer.

The Rockets are now 20-6 overfall and 14-5 in conference play.

They will wrap up the regular season with a home game on Thursday against North Muskegon .
