The Reeths-Puffer boys golf team had a strong performance at Wednesday’s O-K Green Conference Championship Tournament at The Ravines Golf Club, with two players finishing in the top four individually.
The Rockets were strong as a team, shooting a combined 338, which was good for third place, only four shots behind first-place Mona Shores.
Sophomore Kristian Brown shot a season-best 77 and finished second in the final individual standings, only two shots behind Zeeland West's Logan Bomers. Brown had 10 pars and two birdies.
R-P's Ayden Hartzell also had a great day, shooting an 81 with 10 pars and finishing fourth individually.

Brown and Hartzell both won medals for their efforts.
Dylan Panozzo shot an 88 for R-P, followed by Ryleigh Beebe (92), Jake Lee (93) and Aiden Waggoner (98).
After the tournament, Brown was named to the O-K Green All-Conference team while Panozzo was honorable mention.
The Rockets now move on to regionals on May 29 at Lincoln Golf Club.
“Overall it was a solid day for the team,” said R-P Coach Matt Pallett. “We had two players finish within the top 10. I am happy for both of them.
“Kristian Brown has been real close to putting a good round together and today was that day. He is striking the ball well and putted better today. He is definitely trending in the right direction heading to regionals next week.
“We have yet to have four guys put good rounds together on the same day. I told the guys after the round today, ‘Let's do that at regionals and see what happens.’”
