It was a really good week for Reeths-Puffer’s Jake Lee.
For most of the season, the senior golfer finished behind many of his R-P teammates at various events, but this week he shot up to the top.
It started on Monday when Lee shot an 84, the best 18-hole round of his high school career, and finished with the second best score on the R-P squad at the Tom Wilson Invitational at the Muskegon County Club, hosted by Mona Shores.
As a team, the Rockets had a so-so day, shooting a 351 and finishing 10th out of 18 teams.

Sophomore Kristian Brown led the way for R-P with an 84, followed by Lee, Dylan Panozzo (89), Ayden Hartzell (92) and Jamie Neel (111).
Lee continued his strong play on Thursday when he shot a 39, the best nine-hole score of his career and the best mark for the Rockets at the seventh and final O-K Green Conference Jamboree at Indian Trails Golf Course.
“Jake Lee continues to play solid golf,” said R-P Coach Matt Pallett. “He had a slight equipment change and has been playing well since. Hopefully he continues to play well as his high school career is coming to an end.”
The Rockets finished fourth as a team in jamboree with a score of 164. Mona Shores won with a 142.
Brown shot a 40 for the Rockets, Panozzo shot a 42, Ayden Hartzell came in with a 43 while Ryleigh Beebe and Calvin Schlee shot a 46 and 49, respectively.
The Rockets will next compete in the O-K Green Championship Tournament next Wednesday.
