The Reeths-Puffer softball team has been scoring runs in big bunches this season, and they all finally added up to something that goes in the record book.
The Rockets defeated Rockford 9-2 on Monday and increased their season run total to 322. That broke an R-P softball single-season record of 318 runs, set back in 2009.
The Rockets took the lead for good by scoring two runs in the first inning. They added one in the second, four in the fourth and two in the seventh.

The Rockets pounded out 12 hits in the game.
Kyleigh Bilek had three hits, including two doubles, for R-P. Kaylee Jones added two hits while Rowan Bluhm and Lainey McDaniel each hit a double.
McDaniel pitched four innings and got the win, striking out seven. Mady Snyder and Bilek finished the game on the mound for the Rockets.
Reeths-Puffer is now 26-2-1 on the season.
