The Reeths-Puffer baseball team kept its opponent off the scoreboard in an O-K Green conference doubleheader sweep of Wyoming on Thursday.
The victories extended R-P’s impressive winning streak to 12 games.
The Rockets won the opener 13-0. Trent Reichert led the team with three hits and three RBIs with Ethan Frang contributing two hits and an RBI. Jack Yonkman, Holden Earnest, Lukas Johnson, Caiden Theisen, Brayden Mitchelson and Ethan Muskegon each contributed a hit.
Jaxson Whitaker
On the mound Jaxson Whitaker earned the win, throwing four innings of two-hit ball and striking out six. Colton Bessinger pitched the final inning, striking out the side.
R-P completed the sweep with a 13-0 victory in the nightcap. Reichert earned the win on the mound for the Rockets, allowing two hits with five strikeouts in four innings. Drew Brooks threw the last two innings, giving up no hits while striking out four.
Whitaker led the offense with two hits and three RBIs. Yonkman, Earnest, Muskovin and Chase Smith each contributed a hit.
The Rockets are now 18-3 overall and 11-2 in O-K Green conference play.
