The Reeths-Puffer baseball team will head into the week with some good momentum after coming from four runs behind to beat Oakridge 8-7 on Friday.
The Rockets trailed 7-3 going into the bottom of the fifth inning, then scored two runs to make it 7-5. They took the lead with three runs in the bottom of the sixth before Jaxson Whitaker pitched the save the seventh inning with three straight strikeouts.
Ethan Frang hit a single down the left field line in the sixth to knock in the winning run.
Brayden Mitchelson started on the mound for R-P and pitched five innings while striking out five. Holdon Earnest pitched one inning and struck out two before Whitaker closed out the game.
Earnest led at the plate with three hits, including two doubles. Trent Reichert added two hits.
The Rockets are now 10-3 overall. They will play a three-game O-K Green conference series against Grand Rapids Union this week before competing in the Greater Muskegon Athletic Association City Tournament on Saturday.
