Reeths-Puffer’s girls basketball team dropped a road game against Zeeland West on Friday, marking its second loss in three games after a four-game winning streak to start January.
The Rockets battled throughout and fell 43-32 in the O-K Green conference matchup.
Zeeland West led 9-4 after the opening quarter and 19-12 at halftime. The Dux extended the lead to 29-20 heading to the fourth and used a 14-12 edge in the final quarter to seal the win.
R-P's Brooklynn Tornes, who had 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 steals.
Brooklynn Tornes led R-P with another standout performance of 18 points, seven rebounds and five steals. Irelyn Niklasch added six points and a team-high 12 rebounds and Megan Barmes chipped in five points.
Jordyn Klaasen led Zeeland West with a game-high 22 points.
Reeths-Puffer is now 5-7 on the season and 4-2 in conference play. The Rockets are currently fourth in the conference standings, two games behind first place Wyoming, which is 6-0.
The Rockets return home on Tuesday to face Muskegon, who is also unbeaten in the conference.
