The Reeths-Puffer girls basketball team’s four-game winning streak came to an end on Friday when the Rockets went on the road and fell to a very good Wyoming squad, 55-39.
Rough first and third quarters proved to be the downfall for R-P.
The Rockets trailed 14-4 after one, got back within striking distance with a 24-17 halftime deficit, but then Wyoming took control for good with a 17-4 advantage in the third quarter.
Brooklynn Tornes had a strong game for R-P with 20 points, three assists and four steals, but no other Rockets scored more than four points.
Tarnia Gayles scored 18 points to lead Wyoming.
Reeths-Puffer is now 4-6 overall on the season and 3-1 in O-K Green conference play.
Wyoming, which won its eighth straight game, improved to 10-2 and 5-2.
