The steadily improving Reeths-Puffer boys golf squad shot a season-best team score of 341 for 18 holes on Friday and finished sixth in a very tough field at R-P’s Rocket Invitational at Lincoln Golf Club.
Freshman Kristian Brown led the Rockets with a 79 and earned a medal by finishing eighth overall in the individual standings.
Senior Tanner Bonjernoor also had a very good day, finishing second on the team with an 83 round, which including two birdies.

Dylan Panozzo shot an 85 for R-P, followed by Ayden Hartzell and David Grimard (both 94), Jacob Pierce (99), Jake Lee (100), Tristan Baker (105), Calvin Schlee (106) and Aiden Waggoner (113).
Lowell took first place in the team standings while Mona Shores was second.
“Overall the team did great,” said R-P Coach Matt Pallett. “I am happy with how we performed today. We continue to improve.
“Kristian continues to impress me. He has a strong mental game to go with his golf game. He overcame a tough hole to place in the top ten.

The Rockets will compete in the Mona Shores Invitational on Monday at the Muskegon County Club.
